The CMAPlus Listserv

The CMAPlus listserv is an e-mail list service sponsored by Denison University.

The mailing list is for Certified Movement Analysts and anyone else interested in communicating and dialoguing about the theories and teachings of Rudolf Laban and Irmgard Bartenieff. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Labanotation, motif writing, somatic education, other methods of movement analysis and applications of LMA or BF such as Action Profiling, dance and dance therapy, movement training for actors, arts analysis and criticism, sports and fitness, anthropology, psychology, etc...

The list is called "CMAPLUS" because it is a list made up of CMAs plus others interested in the LMA/BF work. It is not a list strictly related to the activities at LIMS.

To Join the List:

Send a message to Mailserv@denison.edu and in the body of the message type "subscribe CMAList" (without the quotes)

When the Denison computer receives your message, you will be subscribed to the list and will receive an automatic message with "Welcome to CMAList" as the subject. This message will include some brief instructions.

Once you get your message saying that you have been subscribed, you can send a message to the list anytime by following the instructions below.

To participate in the discussion once you have joined:

Send your message to CMAList@CC.DENISON.EDU. When you do this, everyone on the list will receive a copy of your message.

To unsubscribe from the list:

You may leave the CMAPlus list at any time by sending a message to CMAList-request@cc.dension.edu. In the body of the message type "unsubscribe CMAList" (without the quotes) That’s all you have to do. You will receive a return mail that tells you that you have been unsubscribed.
